The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire na mBuachaillí are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jimmy Lacey as the incoming Principal of our school commencing on 4th October 2021. Mr. Lacey a native of Co. Kilkenny has made Castleblayney his adopted home for the past 15+ years. Married with two children, Mr. Lacey comes into this position with immense educational experience and leadership skill sets and is actively involved in the local community at many levels.
Outgoing Principal Mr. Eamon McEneaney official retires on the 3rd October 2021 after serving 40 years in the “Boys School “, 34 of those years as Principal. Under his tenure Mr. Mc Eneaney has grown the school in the community and overseen many changes in education as well as driving major school building projects. He has made Scoil Mhuire na mBuachaillí the exceptional and welcoming school that it is today, which is known throughout the length and breadth of Ireland.
